Course Outline: 1. KRAAU, OS KRAAU 2. Student Professional Portfolio 3. The student in teaching practice - cooperation with the mentor teacher, preparation, reflection, rights, responsibilities 4. The Teacher Self and its development 5. Classroom observation (observation protocol) 6. Lesson observation in German, preparation of an observation protocol 7. Evaluation of the observed lesson, analysis of the observation protocol 8. Lesson preparation - principles of lesson planning 9. (Seminars 9-14) Preparation of a teaching unit - presentation and discussion of students' German lesson plans

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to get students acquainted students with the principles of elaboration of the observation protocol and their own preparation for the lesson, to provide students with insight into the work of German teachers at primary and secondary schools, and on this basis to prepare them for their own teaching practice and future teaching profession.
Students - become familiar with OS KRAAU, understand the competencies formulated within it, and perceive it as a tool for self-reflection in their own development on the path to becoming a teacher, - have a clear idea of how they can cooperate with the mentor teacher during their teaching practice, - maintain their Student Professional Portfolio and use it to reflect on their development (e.g., in KRAAU and OS KRAAU they identify competencies at least partially developed within the course, collect and organize examples from practice), - are able, on the basis of observing a lesson, to prepare an observation protocol, reflect on the lesson, and suggest alternatives, - are able to prepare a German lesson plan (with appropriate operationalized lesson objectives, clear structure, suitable organizational forms of work, methodological approaches, materials, and evaluation tools). Within the course, the following competencies according to KRAAU will be developed: 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5.1, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3

Requirements for obtaining credit: - regular active participation in seminars, - completion of ongoing assigned tasks, - preparation of an observation protocol, - preparation of a German lesson plan, - maintenance of the Student Professional Portfolio.
