Course content
The content focus of observational practice is based on the still insufficient theoretical equipment and practical readiness of students in the field of didactics. The aim of the course Observational Practice is to get acquainted with the school environment and school life, ie with school facilities and with the specific needs and peculiarities of individual groups of students in school facilities, including acquaintance with teaching methods and organizational forms of work in school facilities. The recommended content and formal side of the output is the Diary of Observational Practice. The student will perform an internship of 13 hours shading the practice mentor and other assigned pedagogical staff (eg educational counselor, school prevention methodologist, school special pedagogue, school psychologist), shading is analyzed. The prerequisite is that internships are conducted primarily at faculty and cooperating facilities of PF UJEP.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to provide students with real information about the school environment with an emphasis on teaching methods, organizational forms of work in school facilities and work with pupils with special educational needs. The student will perform an internship lasting 13 hours. The prerequisite is that internships are given preferentially at the faculty and cooperating facilities of PF UJEP.
The student will gain a first insight into the school environment from the position of a teacher, get acquainted with the job description and duties of a German language teacher and possibly also a class teacher, as well as with curriculum and other school documents, improve in the preparation of a hospitalization protocol and reflection of a hospitalized lesson.
Prerequisites
The prerequisite is that internships are conducted primarily at faculty and cooperating facilities of PF UJEP. Organizationally, methodically and control-wise, this practice is provided by CPP PF UJEP for PF, FF and PřF.
