Learning outcomes
|
Students will become acquainted with basic topics, questions and problems of contemporary German lexicology. This course will concern itself with problems of defining the subject of study, nature of linguistic sign, meaning of words, semantic relations between lexemes as well as functional, regional and social variety of German vocabulary.
Student " knows the basic terminology and can apply it " can classify linguistic signs and define their nature " is able to describe semantic structure of a lexeme as well as the nature of interlexical semantic relations " can view heterogeneity in varieties of German vocabulary in wider context.
