Course content
1. Oral expression: presentation and discussion skills for study and work 2. Written expression: argumentative writing, statement, scientific writing (thesis paper) 3. Grammar: nominal and verbal style) 4. Working on vocabulary 5. Possible topics for presentations and text assignments: a) Teaching German as a foreign language in the Czech Republic: (performance assessment, motivation, digital media, multilingualism, didactics of literature, etc.); b) Socially relevant topics: (profession, equality, environment, politics, etc.)

Learning outcomes
The course focuses on working with selected teaching materials to practice and consolidate all four language competencies. The topics take into account the field of education, German didactics and the interest of students. The course also practices grammar and professional vocabulary on the example of authentic texts from the field of general and professional language. During written speech, strategies of argumentative writing are trained, in the area of spoken speech, students learn to lead the discussion.
