The aim of the course is to create a master thesis exposé presenting an outline of the research topic and a good argument of its relevance to the study program. The exposé must further show the knowledge of academic debates the theses is related to and thus the expected contribution to the field, a clear research question (Forschungsfrage), and a brief description of the method, or the theoretical grasp, of the topic. Part of the exposé is also a list of primary and secondary literature, including the design of the overall structure of thesis.
At the end of their studies students - can formulate the aim of their academic work (the thesis) - are able to choose a suitable method for its processing and design an adequate, logically structured form of the thesis |
