Learning outcomes
Students will get familiar with single phases of European cultural history, partly chronologically and partly thematically. They will study the history of art throughout the artistic and cultural spectrum as well. Europe will be seen as a specific space of cultural communication - in relation to European cultural history I.
Student knows the keywords and gets basic overview of changes of European cultural history and art. He/she is familiar with cultural and historical changes in Europe, is able to use secondary literature in German and can interpret images and texts.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in seminars and completed tasks. To obtain the credit students have to write a seminar paper on a chosen topic, 5 pages in length.
