Course content
|
In the first phase (Semester 1-4) of the study programme the doctoral students submits partial results of his/her doctoral thesis (dissertation), mainly consisting of the student's work with the study of resources. At the end of the second phase the students is expected to submit the extended theses of the dissertation. They include the thematic framework, main questions, concepts, the structure, methods, sources, applied domestic and foreign literature, hypotheses, expected conclusions, justification of their significance and the schedule of the student's further steps. The main reason of this plan is to check whether the student is capable of continuing further studies and successfully continue in his/her work on the dissertation. The second phase (Semester 5-8) is made use of for the students´ textual preparation. The student is expected to submit individual parts his dissertation (chapters) regularly. The final result of this work are theses of the dissertation that is to be submitted for defence.

Learning outcomes
|
A student is enrolled in the Doctoral Seminar every semester during the course of his/her studies. The seminar provides this student with a possibility of continuous methodological support of the supervisor during the work on the part of the supervisor during the work on the theme of the dissertation and is carried out in the form of individual consultations with the supervisor and/or in the form of a colloquy, for which the student is granted a credit.
The Doctoral student is oriented in the methods and methodology of his/her field, he/she is able to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge to a specific literary corpus. He/she is also able to present the partial results of their research at scientific conferences, knows the publication process and is able to publish more partial studies in professional periodicals.
