Course content
In connection with the discussed topics all language skills will be practiced as well as grammar structures and using a dictionary based on the learners´ needs. Basic topics: 1. Home, foreign countries, interculturality 2. Language, communication, small talk, foreign language learning 3. Studies and profession 4. Lifestyle and society 5. Science, reaserch 6. Culture, art 7. History, personalities 8. Types of communication, new media 9. Feelings and emotions 10. Future, visions 11. Weekday, everyday life

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to improve the language skills of students who have taken the entrance placement test and, according to the results, were recommended to participate in the course. The entry language proficiency level is A2 / B1.1. Based on intensive course work and individual homework, students should reach the language level required in compulsory practical language courses (entry level B1 SERR).
Student - knows the vocabulary a grammar related to the discussed topics - can understand texts with known topics and are familiar with global understanding of academic language texts - can briefly summarize by mouth and on paper the main text ideas in spoken and written language - can use appropriate language devices for courteous communication, discussion and self-presentation.

REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS Active participation - are allowed 2 absences, the student must apologize in advance. Failure to do so is grounds for denial of credit. Fulfillment of tasks of the given teacher by their timely submission. A task not handed in on time is grounds for denial of credit.
