Course content
The course is designed as a series of written exercises. Main attention will be paid to features of scientific German, which will be discussed and compared with scientific styles in other cultures. Furthermore, the impact of cultural differences on scientific style will be discussed.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to practise writing scientific texts in German and discuss differences in scientific styles in different cultures.
Students are acquainted with the features of scientific German, they are able to apply the knowledge on their own texts and they are aware of relevant cultural specifics.
