The course is aimed to students that deal with modeling of aerosol processes in their PhD study. As a result, the students will get an overview of the field of aerosols, methods of their study and possibilities in modeling of aerosol processes: - Aerosol terminology. - Aerosol mechanics. - Kinetics of processes important in aerosol systems. - Transport and deposition of aerosol particles. - Sampling of aerosol particles. - Experimental methods used in analysis of aerosols. - Important applications of aerosol microphysics, e.g. in relation to climate change or to the health effects of aerosols.
