Course content
1. Main ideological - program currents in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia in the second half of the 19th century. 2. Program spectrum of political parties in Czechoslovakia in the years 1918-1938. 3. Programs of national minority parties in interwar Czechoslovakia. 4. Ideological transformation of party programs in the second republic. 5. Czech politics in the years of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. 6. Program idea II. Czechoslovak resistance. 7. Program and political parties of the National Front 1945-1948. 8. Communist state ideology after 1948. 9. Democrats in illegality (persecution of non-communist parties after 1948). 10. Exile party subjects and their program disputes in the years 1948-1989. 11. Political thinking in opposition and dissent (1969-1989). 12. Czech political thought after 1989. 13. Czech political parties on the threshold of the new millennium.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the development of Czech political thought, as it was formed on the platform of political partisanship and political parties in the Czech lands since the second half od the 19th century and in Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic in 1918-2002. In teaching, special emphasis will be placed on the interpretation and explanation of program formation and the development of individual ideological currents between political parties.
The student is able to use professional terminology. The student is able to characterize the development of Czech political thought, as it was formed on the platform of political partisanship and political parties in the Czech lands since the second half of the 19th century and in Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic in the years 1918-2002. The student is able to clarify the program formation and development of individual ideological currrents between political parties.
