The aim of the course is to provide students with an overview of the origins of European identity, as well as the so-called European values. The ideas and reality of integration processes in the European territory from ancient times to the present will be mapped. In a separate part, emphasis will be placed on the political development of the European Communities and the European Union from the 1950s to the present, and theories and perspectives of European integration will be emphasized. The course will enable students to gain a deeper understanding of integration processes, including their historical and ideological background.
