Course content
|
During the seminar, students present the basic theses and objectives of their thesis, the chosen methods, and the planned structure to their colleagues. These presentations stimulate mutual discussion about the theses and related issues (e.g. access to sources, selection of literature, chosen approach, and thesis structure). The content of the course depends on the specific topics that students are working on in their bachelor's theses.

Learning outcomes
|
The course aims to prepare students for the practical completion of their final thesis by helping them with the individual steps of the writing process (e.g. conducting a literature review, formulating basic theses, structuring the topic and choosing a methodological approach) and teaching them to present and defend the procedures of their academic work in discussion. The seminar also provides an opportunity to discuss issues related to writing a bachelor's thesis through consultations.
Students will learn to conduct relevant literature research, formulate working hypotheses and basic theses, use appropriate academic tools effectively, structure their chosen professional topic adequately, and prepare a thesis that they can present to an academic audience.

The prerequisite for completing the seminar is official assignment of a bachelor's thesis at KFHS.
