Learning outcomes |
The course introduces to the anthropological perspective on art and explain the relation between art and culture. Art, from the perspective of cultural anthropology, is a part of the whole socio-cultural systém. We will discuss various anthropological theories of art's origin and function and basic concepts in the field such as primitive and modern art, etc. We will learn how to interpreta works of art from the perspective of social and cultural anthropology.
Students will gain deeper knowledge n the field of anthropology of art. They will interpret and write scholarly texts in the field. They can build an argument and explain thei views, They understand relation between art and culture. |
