Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to teach students to perceive the family as a basic social institution with variable forms and to show its key role in all aspects of social stratification and control. To acquaint students with the course and consequences of demographic changes in family behavior.
After completing the course, students will be able to: - perceive gender as a social construct and analytical category - perceive gender issues in historical and cultural contexts - describe the historical development of feminism and male studies - assess the category of gender in the micro and macro level of society
Prerequisites
Recommended prerequisities are Sociology I and II.
