1. Introduction to the current situation in ethics and metaethics (text: R. Rorty). 2. Negotiations and types of its evaluation; traditionalistic and natural concept of morality 3. Moral judgment and moral affections; duty and good. 4. Kant's moral concept and its reworking in Tugendhat. 5.-6. Kant and Fundamentals of the metaphysics of morals 1-2. 7. Discursive ethics. Ethics of compassion, zooetics, unborn life. 8. Anti-enlightenment ethics. 9.-10. Ethics of virtues and its incorporation into Tugendhat's concept. 11. Utilitarianism. 12. Human rights and justice. 13. Summary of interpretation; application; ethics and politics.

Learning outcomes
|
We discuss the current situation in ethics and metaethics. The lectures are largely based on the position of Ernst Tugendhat, proposed in his Přednášky o etice (2004).
Having finished the course, students will be able to teach on its topic (extent ca 240 minutes) and continue to study relevant primary and secondary literature.
