Learning outcomes
The course Media, society, politics II focusess on the issue of the role of the media in society, or the relationship between the media, public interest and politics and thus seamlessly follows on from its first part. The aim of the course will be an insight into the development of the position of the media, but also a focus on their behavior, influence and influence in contemporary society. The interpretation will therefore be devoted to issues of the position of the media and their influence in the social process, but also in th political process.

Course Requirements for Successful Completion 1/ Presentation on an Assigned Topic A required component of the course is the preparation and presentation of an assigned topic within the scope specified by the instructor. The presentation is evaluated with a maximum of 30 points, based on the following criteria: quality of the academic treatment of the topic, use of sources and correct citation practices, structure and overall quality of the presentation, compliance with the given instructions and deadlines, submission of a handout in electronic form no later than the day of the presentation. The course cannot be successfully completed without delivering the presentation. 2/ Active Participation in Discussions An integral part of the course is active engagement in discussions during the presentations. The evaluation focuses particularly on: asking relevant questions, responding to classmates' presentations, continuous active participation during classes. A maximum of 10 points can be awarded for participation. Passive physical attendance is not considered active participation. Conditions for Successful Completion of the Course To successfully complete the course, students must obtain at least 20 points out of 40. Organizational Information The deadline for topic selection is 1 March 2026. The schedule of individual presentations will be finalized by the meeting on 5 March at the latest. Handouts must be submitted no later than the day of the presentation. All deadlines are final and cannot be extended. The course cannot be completed without delivering the presentation.
