The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the genesis and contemporery use of terms such as "politics", "power", "violence", "democracy", "ideology", etc., in order to understand the current political discourse in a historical context.
The ability to accurately use political terms leading to an understanding of professional texts and discussions at an academic level.
Prerequisites
General overview of the development of European philosophical thought.

Attendance 60%, presentation. An essay in the range of min. 7 pages, using two additional secondary sources.
