Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with basic sociological categories, terminology and concepts of sociology. Attention is focused on understanding the structure of society, important social processes and phenomena. The student will gain the knowledge necessary for the study of sociological disciplines, get acquainted with the development of sociological thinking and worldview. In the seminars, students work with the studied literature and look for correlations between theoretical conclusions and the current social situation. They learn to understand social processes.
After successful completion of the course the student is able to: - Understand the sociological topics in scientific articles - Analyze social relations, processes and social development in the context of basic sociological paradigms
