Learning outcomes
|
The course focuses on analysis and interpretation of current socio-political problems and challeges. It does not discuss problems of classical political philosophy like common good, theory of justice of social contract. Rather, it is based on contemporary continental philosophy and deals with the critique of current state of affairs and researches new ways how to understand society, power, action. The main sources of inspiration for the course are critical theory, post-colonial thinking, ecological thinking, philosophy of technology and media, gender studies, etc.
The students will: Understand the scope of current socio-political issues Orientate in the major problems and challenges of contemporary societies. Critically evaluate problems of modern societies from the philosohical perspective.
