Course content
Lecture topics: 1st consultation: Theoretical basics of physical education and exercise physiology. Clinic and practice of sports medicine in different age categories. 2nd consultation: Medical rehabilitation and special physical education. Functional state evaluation - indications and contraindications of stress tests. Self-study: Stress examination of an athlete. Energy sources in phases of organism load. Doping.

Learning outcomes
The subject provides knowledge about the concept of the field, it deals with physical activities of different age categories, fatigue, overloading and overtraining of athletes. The knowledge gained here will be used by students in professional practice. The aim is to apply knowledge for the selection of physical activities of the patient and for the selection of activities in each age, selection of activities in primary and secondary prevention.
Expertise: Student is able to explain the principle of physiology of exercise and assess the state of development of an athlete. Student is able to assess the results of the stress tests in general and to determine the parameters of the training load. Professional skills: Student is able to evaluate the results of clinical examination of the athlete, the results of stress tests, to design a movement program for selected groups of clients.

Credit: active participation in lessons. Elaboration of a given clinical examination of an athlete in terms of exercise physiology and proposing additional sports load.
