Lecture Topics: 1. - 2. Theoretical basics of sports medicine and exercise physiology 3. - 4. Clinics and practice of sports medicine in individual age categories. 5. - 6. Medical rehabilitation and special physical education. 7. - 9. Evaluation of functional state - indications and contraindications of stress tests. 10. Revision.

Learning outcomes
The subject provides the knowledge about the concept of the field; it deals with physical activity of each age category, with fatigue, overload and overtraining of sportsmen. The students will use the knowledge gained in professional experience. The aim is application of the knowledge to selected physical activities of a patient and to selected activities in individual age categories, and activities in primary and secondary prevention.
Subject Knowledge: Students can explain the principle of exercise physiology and assess the state of development of sportsmen. Students are able to assess the results of the stress test, and determine the parameters of a training load. Subject Skills: Students are able to evaluate the results of clinical examination of a sportsman, the results of stress tests and, are able to design an exercise program for selected groups of clients.
