Lecture Topics: 1. History of paediatrics, neonatal age, congenital defects. 2. Problems of premature and risk newborns and importance for the study field. 3. Growth and development of child care organization in our country. 4. Diseased heart and blood circulation. 5. Digestive system diseases. 6. Central nervous system diseases. 7. Diseases of the respiratory system of the child. 8. Problems of allergy and immunity disorders, rheumatology. Hematology. 9. Endocrine disorders.

Learning outcomes
|
The course is focused on diseases of childhood, which require intervention of ergotherapist. Students obtain information about examination methods, clinical picture, therapy, prevention and indication and contraindication of ergotherapy. Students will gain a broad knowledge base and ability to apply them in practice.
Expertise: The student has to get an overview of basic problems of childhood including principles of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Professional skills: Based on the above-mentioned knowledge, develop the skills needed to acquire the skills of an occupational therapist. Competences: The student is practically able to apply the acquired expertise in the field of ergotherapy in pediatrics in practice.
