Lecture Topics: 1. VAS - vertebrogenous algic syndromes. 2. Peripheral NS, myopathy, myasthenia gravis. 3. Headaches, neurosis, epilepsy. 4. CMP. 5. TU CNS. 6. Injuries CNS. 7. Infections of nervous system, spinal cord disease, spinal cord syndromes, topography. 8. Multiple sclerosis cerebrospinal. 9. Extrapyramidal and other degeneration NS, DMO. 10. Revision. Seminar Topics: 11. Neurologic examination from the physiotherapist point of view. 12. Examination of peripheral nervous system - UL. 13. Examination of peripheral nervous system- LL. 14. Examination of central nervous system. 15. Examination of central nervous system. 16. Examination of cerebellum. 17. Examination of extrapyramidal system. 18. Neurologic examination of a posture and gait. 19. Neurologic examination of children. 20. Revision.

Learning outcomes
The course is conceived as theoretically- practical and it follows the basics of general neurology. These skills are the assumption for completion of special neurology course. It introduces students to the essence of specific neurological disorders. The aim of the subject is to gain basic knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in selected neurologic diseases, including the basis of comprehensive care for neurological patient and special examination in neurology in terms of physiotherapy.
Subject Knowledge: Student can describe basic mechanism of disease formation, including specific examinations in neurology, which are a condition for the application of concepts and methods of physiotherapy on a neurophysiologic base. Student is familiar with the terminology. Subject Skills: Student is able to understand the problems of special neurology, and can examine peripheral and central nervous system from the physiotherapist point of view. Student can implement the knowledge gained into do physiotherapeutic concepts, methods and procedures, which use in their application and their diagnostic the neurophysiological basis.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active 80% participation in seminars, 80% success rate in all continuous tests during the course, 75% success rate in the final test covering special neurology, an oral examination in case of the failure to meet some of the previous criteria.
