Seminars Topics: 1. Introduction into the social politics issues. 2. Theoretic concepts. 3. Current social politics in the EU. 4. Current social politics in the Czech Republic. 5. Health care politics. 6. Social security politics. Problems of people with health disorders in the social security system. 7. Complex health care of the population in the Czech Republic. 8. Primary health care in the Czech Republic. 9. Legislation covering social security. 10. Strategies of social politics in future perspective (visions, reforms).

Learning outcomes
The subject introduces students to the basic concepts of the subject of social politics. It focuses on the areas of health care politics and social security. The aim of the subject is to understand the basic terminology in the field of social care and prevention. It familiarizes the students with the target groups of users of social care, and the organizational structure of social services. Students respond through the discussion on the current events in the areas of social politics in the Czech Republic and the EU.
Subject Knowledge: Student is able to explain the current social politics in the Czech Republic, in the areas of health care politics and social security with the emphasis on the target groups of people with health disorders. Subject Skills: Student uses the acquired knowledge in practice with the regard to health and social situation of patients. Student is familiar with the current issues concerning this field.
