Learning outcomes
The course provides basic information about different styles of yoga, methods of yoga, its use in healthy individuals, possibilities of application in patients with musculoskeletal disorders, nervous diseases, cardiovascular, respiratory disorders and others. The aim is to understand the importance of basic sets for use in physiotherapy, to learn individual methods of yoga and to learn the moral principles in yoga.
Expertise: Students demonstrate broad knowledge of yoga exercises applied in physiotherapy, understanding the possibilities and conditions of use of yoga elements in the indication areas of internal medicine, rheumatology and neurology. Demonstrates understanding of the possibilities of using yoga in physiotherapeutic practice. Professional skills: Student is able to use the basic principles of yoga exercises, work with breathing and relaxation. On the basis of this practical experience the student is able to gain further professional knowledge. General eligibility: Student is able to practically apply the basic principles of yoga exercise and relaxation in individual indication areas of physiotherapy.
