Course content
Seminar topics: 1. E-learning: Functions and types of e-learning system, access to e-learning (Moodle, MEFANET). 2. Keyboard shortcuts (use Ctrl + H for replacements). PowerPoint (slide transitions, use of animations). 3. Word: Dividing a document into sections and different types of page numbering in sections. 4. Word: Titles and content generation, citations and literature review. 5. Excel: Automatic sequences, absolute / relative reference, partition anchoring, multi-criteria data sorting. 6. Excel: Function = sum, selected text and logic functions. Graphs and their adjustments. 7. General principles and trends of E-health, principles and examples of use of telemedicine. 8. EHR (EPR) - electronic health (patient) record, its standards. 9. IS in health care and in hospitals (functions, demonstrations). 10. IS - image information (acquisition, storage, processing).

Learning outcomes
The course fulfills two main objectives. The first is to ensure that after graduation students are able to technically handle all the tasks associated with the preparation of the bachelor thesis. The second goal is to acquaint students with the possibilities of using information systems (IS) in health care.
Expertise: Students will learn about modern possibilities of using IS (information technology in general) in the area of health and social care. They will master the basic concepts associated with e-health and telemedicine. Professional skills: Students are able to use advanced computer technology in commonly available computer applications. They can obtain information from publicly available Internet systems. General eligibility: The student understands the importance of informatics and information systems for their field, knows the principles of their use in practice.

Credit: 80% active participation in seminars, active work - checking the elaboration of continuously assigned tasks using the e-learning environment Moodle.
