Course content
Lecture topics: 1. Introduction to the subject of physiotherapy, basic terminology. 2. Physiotherapeutic procedures at ARO, ICU. 3. Physiotherapeutic procedures in the indication area of surgery. 4. Physiotherapeutic procedures in the indication area of gynecology. 5. Physiotherapy in burns. 6. Functional lung examination - spirometry, static and dynamic lung volumes, exercise spiroergometry. 7. Respiratory physiotherapy - examination, drainage techniques, relief positions, respirators. 8. Respiratory physiotherapy - procedures for chronic respiratory insufficiency (COPD). 9. Physiotherapeutic procedures in the indication area of pediatrics - diseases of the respiratory system in childhood (asthma bronchiale, cystic fibrosis). Exercise topics: 1. Kinesiological analysis. 2. Automation of cervical, thoracic, lumbar spine and pelvis. 3. Brügger concept - use of TheraBand. 4. Respiratory physiotherapy - history, aspiration, palpation, breathing gymnastics, autogenous drainage. 5. Respiratory physiotherapy - active cycle of breathing techniques, respirators. 6. Sensomotorics - basic principles, foot sole stimulation, use of labile surfaces. 7. Method of L. Mojžíšová - principles, indications and contraindications, exercise unit. 8. Method of L. Mojžíšová - rib palpation (ventral, dorsal), coccyx palpation. 9. L. Mojžíšová's method - palpation of spasms (abdominal wall, hip adductors, klute, gluteal muscles).

Learning outcomes
The course is conceived as theoretical-practical, it is the basic subject of the field. It acquaints students with the pathogenesis of functional disorders of the locomotor system, with methods used in rehabilitation and physiotherapeutic procedures in individual clinical fields. Students will apply this knowledge in practice. The aim of the course is to apply the knowledge of individual procedures and methodologies and to apply the right selection according to clinical diseases.
Expertise: The student demonstrates a broad knowledge of physiotherapeutic intervention at ARO and ICU, understanding the possibilities of diagnosis and therapy in the field of respiratory diseases and gynecology and surgery. Demonstrates broad knowledge of the implementation of the short-term and long-term plan in the indicated areas. Professional skills: The student is able to use basic techniques of respiratory physiotherapy, he can recommend suitable respiratory trainers, he can perform basic examinations and determine the procedure of therapy in the indication area of gynecology and surgery. General eligibility: The student is able to practically use basic techniques of respiratory physiotherapy, suitable respiratory trainers, is able to practically perform and evaluate basic examinations and determine the procedure of therapy in the indication area of gynecology and surgery. The student is able to practically use the automation of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine and is able to treat muscle spasms according to the method of L. Mojžíšová.
