Course content
Lecture topics: 1. Basic principles and expectations of physical therapy, general indications and contraindications. 2. Individual methods and procedures of physical therapy applied by a physiotherapist always in the structure: principle, effects of setting the parameters of the procedure and their influence on the effect, indications, contraindications, practical application. 3. Electrotherapy - low frequency currents - galvanotherapy. 4. Electrotherapy - low frequency currents - classical currents. 5. Electrotherapy - medium frequency currents. 6. Electrotherapy - high frequency currents (diathermy + DET). 7. Magnetotherapy. 8. Electrodiagnostics. 9. Electrostimulation and electrogymnastics. 10. Principles of safe application and prescription of physical therapy, correct interpretation of the prescription of physical therapy in order to set the right therapeutic parameters towards the goal of treatment. Exercise topics (every 2 hours) 1. Reflexology massage - back set. 2. Reflexology massage - neck and head set. 3. Reflexology massage - chest and pelvic assembly. 4. Ball facilitation according to Jebava. 5. Examination and treatment of soft tissues. 6. Introduction to the control of physical therapy devices (electrotherapy). 7. Setting the right parameters on physical therapy devices (electrotherapy). 8. Practical application of physical therapy (electrotherapy - low frequency currents). 9. Practical application of physical therapy (electrotherapy - medium frequency currents). 10. Practical application of physical therapy (electrotherapy - electrogymnastics and electrostimulation).

Learning outcomes
The course is designed as theoretical and practical. It enables students to acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of physical therapy, focusing on the use of traditional and modern physical therapy procedures.
Expertise: The student is able to independently present the extent of knowledge and knowledge on the topics of lectures to the extent that is lectured or the extent or self-study that is highlighted in the lectures. The student knows the basic principles and mechanisms of the effect of physical therapy on humans in all the above methods of physical therapy, knows their individual effect on the human body and the possibilities of their therapeutic effect, student can step by step set individual parameters of the given physical therapy procedure the setting influences the resulting effect in terms of quality and quantity of the effect, knows variations of settings with respect to individual therapeutic objectives (ie not according to diagnoses, but principally according to therapeutic objectives), can describe the procedure and its correct sequence all contraindications to the method, know examples of the most common method indications. Furthermore, the student knows the procedures and types of reflex massage. Professional skills: The student is able to correctly apply the applicators of physical therapy methods and to correctly and technically and safely apply the individual physical therapy procedures of the lectured range. The student is able to interpret the prescription - a voucher for the application of physical therapy issued by a doctor and practically according to him and the physician of the stated therapeutic intention to set the procedure parameters and apply the procedure. The student can explain to the patient the expected feelings during the application of the procedure and the expected effects of the applied treatment series of procedures. The student can practically perform basic types of reflex massage. General eligibility: The student is able to interpret the prescription - a voucher for the application of physical therapy issued by a physician and practically according to him and the physician of the stated therapeutic intention to set individual parameters of the procedure and to perform the application of the procedure. Credit: 80% participation in the practical part of teaching, credit based on a practical exam of reflexology and writing a credit test. Exam: oral - one syllabus of both semesters.
