Course content
1. Introduction to the issues. 2. Sound recording technology: microphones, converters, sound cards and more. 3. Basic formats for processing and distribution of sound. 4. Introduction to basic techniques of audio output processing, acquaintance with software and manuals of individual products, digitization and editing of sound; recording in a sound studio. 5.-7. Partial practical demonstrations and tasks; introduction of various positions of sound art or use of appropriate software in the process of artistic creation; field recording; generated sound. 8. Assignment of an independent semestral project. 9.-12. Realization of an independent project, individual and group tutoring. 13. Presentation of an individual project.

Learning outcomes
Disciplinary software I / Sound Basic techniques of processing audio formats. The course deals with rudiments of software work with sound; it provides a guide to the environment of sound software (Adobe Audition Avid Pro Tools Ableton Live), digitization, recording, creation and editing of sound to be used in video art, sound art, audiovisual performance or interactive artistic projects.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
