This course is based on purely individual approach and comes out of individual students' needs, in accordance with their focus on a particular theme of their diploma work. During the two semesters, the student consults the practical part of his/her diploma work, as well as its written defence, and starting from the initial seminars, in which the basic principles of creating a diploma work are defined, they realize their themes step by step up to the resulting stage to be presented as part of the final state examinations. Besides consulting realization of the diploma work itself and the written defence of the bachelor's work, the student is recommended professional literature, as well as names of theoreticians, curators or designers and artists who might give him/her further inspiring consultations, study material, and information on the theme.
The student is able to present a conception of the work, in which they define the artistic intent clearly and concisely. The student is able to present a visualization of the resulting draft demonstrably proving the ideological intent and the choice of the artistic form and its relation to the spatial and time context of the installation intent. While preparing for defence of the theoretical part of the thesis, the student is able to present a version of the text documenting a systemic process of preparation of the outline and structure of the written work with a list of references. They can document the suggested process of implementation of their intent in terms of technology. The student is able to solve the implementation of the work and its installation in the selected space, so that the work has the best possible adequate form of presentation. They can reasonably estimate the time frame of implementation and installation of the work. The student is able to take a critical approach to the institutional stereotypes of installation practice and can propose new solutions based on the nature and needs of the particular artwork.
