Learning outcomes
This course is based on purely individual approach and comes out of individual students' needs, in accordance with their focus on a particular theme of their diploma work. During the two semesters, the student consults the practical part of his/her diploma work, as well as its written defence, and starting from the initial seminars, in which the basic principles of creating a diploma work are defined, they realize their themes step by step up to the resulting stage to be presented as part of the final state examinations. Besides consulting realization of the diploma work itself and the written defence of the bachelor's work, the student is recommended professional literature, as well as names of theoreticians, curators or designers and artists who might give him/her further inspiring consultations, study material, and information on the theme.
When preparing the diploma thesis, the student is able to define the basis propositions and to develop the subsequent abstract. Based on the ideological analysis, they can determine priorities of the artistic project and specify requirements for implementation. In drafts, the student can define the basic conditions of the artwork and determine the artistic form of implementation. Thanks to the special training, they are able to analyze theoretical texts of the recommended literature relating to the theme, or to develop the theme in relation to other, non-artistic disciplines. The student is able to suggest a technically adequate solution of the project and an optimal and the simplest way of implementation. Based on testing various options of practical implementation of the work, they are able to evaluate the experimental phase of the project effectively. If appropriate, the student is able to consult and implement technical solutions with experts from practice or from other institutions.
