This course is based on purely individual approach and comes out of individual students' needs, in accordance with their focus on a particular theme of their diploma work. During the two semesters, the student consults the practical part of his/her diploma work, as well as its written defence, and starting from the initial seminars, in which the basic principles of creating a diploma work are defined, they realize their themes step by step up to the resulting stage to be presented as part of the final state examinations. Besides consulting realization of the diploma work itself and the written defence of the bachelor's work, the student is recommended professional literature, as well as names of theoreticians, curators or designers and artists who might give him/her further inspiring consultations, study material, and information on the theme.
The student can specifically and knowledgeably discuss the chosen theme of the diploma thesis. They can collect the necessary amount of facts and theoretical background information and process them. The student is able to choose adequate professional literature and can use the right quotations to support their own text. They can suggest technical solutions for the material realization and propose a suitable medium to communicate the artistic idea. The student is able to provide sketches and material studies for a wider discourse on whether they are appropriate to use. |
