Learning outcomes
This optional course is focused on the complex conception of management and its decision making process, planning, organizing and control. Moreover, even the main problems of human resources management within organizations (e.g.motivation, working in teams) are covered by this course.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: - describe human resource management process, including various techniques managers can use in evaluating employee performance - demonstrate practical knowledge of the functions of management - define leadership and explain the difference between managers and leaders - demonstrate a basic knowledge of the process and tools of strategic planning - understand classic and innovative strategy paradigms and how to formulate and implement them - know the critical alignment between business strategy and the success of the organization - demonstrate ability to use motivation in the organization, including the ability to use specific motivational procedures to effect changes in subordinate behavior
Prerequisites
Recommended prerequisites are: Corporate Economics and Company Management.

Assessment methods and criteria

Continuous assessment, semestral project, written test, lectures attendance is mandatory (min. 75 %). In evaluation of semestral project and written test the student must reach 60 %. In case of the distance education all instruction and materials will be available in Moodle (FSE) in course Company Management KMG/W0016. For Erasmus programme student there are the following grades: A: 92 100 % B: 84 91 % C: 76 83 % D: 68 75 % E: 60 67 % F: 0 59 %
