Learning outcomes
|
Cílem kurzu je vysvětlení základních principů a vývojových tendencí fungování Evropské unie, včetně problematiky týkající se ČR po vstupu do EU. Kurz navazuje na přednášky ekonomické teorie, světové ekonomiky, hospodářské politiky a dějin hospodářství. Kurz je záměrně situován do 6. semestru proto, aby studenti problematiku EU pochopili i v dalších souvislostech z témat předmětů, které dříve absolvovali (v makroekonomickém, mikroekonomickém i regionálním záběru). Kurz je zakončen písemnou zkouškou.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to -summarise the history of the development of European integration - describe the functioning and decision-making mechanisms in the EU - assess the impact of the EU economic policy on the Czech Republic - evaluate the current EU agenda - use professional terminology related to the EU in English

Assessment methods and criteria

Attendance is recommended and needed for successful fulfillment. It is necessary to obtain points for activities during lessons (a total of 25% of the evaluation weight). The final written test has got 75% of the overall rating. The course grade will be awarded according to the total score in the range of 0-100 points based on the following grading scale: 90-100: Excellent (1) 75-89: Very good (2) 60-74: Good (3) 0-59: Fail (4)
