Course content
Seminar topics: 1. Simulation of disability. 2. Compensation aids. 3. Evaluation of barriers in the interior and exterior. 4. Work with medical documentation. List of medical procedures in occupational therapy and physiotherapy. 5. Working with case reports, taking anamnesis. 6. Gnostic functions 7. Examination by an occupational therapist. Use and administration of MMSE, FIM, Basic and Extended Barthel Index, Addenbrooke's Cognitive Test, MoCA. 8. ADL - testing and training. 9. Positioning. 10. Repetition

Learning outcomes
The course is designed as a theoretical - practical subject, it is the subject of the profiling base of the study program. Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquaint students with ergotherapeutic expertise, its history, overview of knowledge and skills that ergotherapist should manage and areas and institutions where ergotherapist can apply.
Expertise: The student understands the position of an occupational therapist in health care and social services, the content of his work. They will get acquainted with the situation of people with disabilities in society. Professional skills: The student demonstrates the ability of empathic approach to clients and adequate communication with the client depending on his health condition and life situation. They can obtain information from the client and from the documentation. They understand basic knowledge of how to set ergotherapeutical goals. Students implement them by positioning procedures, they can evaluate the barriers in the interior and exterior, they can use tests evaluating ADL activities and other procedures from the subject content. Competences: Student is able to apply acquired theoretical and practical knowledge in clinical practice.

credit: verification of practical professional skills and general competences acquired in seminars, Exam: oral exam of given questions - evaluation of fulfilled tasks and verification of professional knowledge including the content of teaching.
