Learning outcomes
The course is designed as practical. Through seminars, it is closely linked to the teaching of Therapeutic Techniques and Activities and is supplemented by other information. It leads students to use acquired knowledge in therapeutic ergotherapy with the aim to apply individual therapeutic techniques to specific diseases. For each activity, the theoretical introduction to the activity, the choice of material and its effect, the use, the choice of tools, the size of the product will be discussed. Another aim is to acquaint students with OSH in each technique.
Expertise: The student has knowledge that is important for the production of therapeutic aids and splints. Professional skills: The graduate is able to propose a therapeutic aid and splint adequately according to the client's needs. Competences: Student is able to apply acquired knowledge to occupational therapy practice.

Assessment methods and criteria

Credit: 80% attendance at seminars, continuous demonstration of practical skills. Preparation of therapeutic technique for group occupational therapy related to the given topic. Individual production of one compensation aid, one therapeutic aid and their presentation. Splint production and oral knowledge demonstration.
