Lecture Topics: 1. Social rehabilitation as a part of complete rehabilitation. 2. Institutions and specialists performing rehabilitaion. 3. System of laws and ordinances. 4. Areas concerning people with health disability 5. Pensions. 6. Organizations of people with health disability. 7. Status and activity of people with health disability, international conventions and activity. 8. Prescribing spa care aids. 9. Personal assistance, types of institutions, accommodation for people with health disability. 10. Partnership and family of people with health disability, education of children with disability. Seminar Topics: 1. The analysis of social situation of specific clients, evaluation of entitlement to a care contribution. 2. The analysis of social situation of specific clients, evaluation of entitlement to a care contribution. 3. Familiarization with social situation of adults in centres with social care. 4. Familiarization with a social program of some organizations for people with health disability. 5. Analysing the work of occupational therapists and social workers. 6. Personal assistance. 7. Types of institutions. 8. Accommodation for people with health disability. 9. Partnership and family of people with health disability. 10. Revision.

Learning outcomes
|
The subject is structured as theoretically-practical. It familiarizes the students with current state of social rehabilitation. It familiarizes students with different forms of social care in institutions for people with health and mental disability and for the seniors. It provides analysis of social documentation.
Subject Knowledge: Student understands treatment and social rehabilitation, the role of occupational therapists and cooperation with social workers and medical specialists. Professional Skills: Student is able to study materials from social area. He is familiarized with specific program and work of social care institutions and organizations of people with health disability.
