Course content
Exercise Topics: Weeks 1 to 2: the student's chosen workplace in accordance with the graduate profile In practice, the student will perform a Janda functional muscle test, grip examination and manipulation (using standard JM tests), stereognosis examination, stature examination - static and dynamic, postural function reeducation (patient verticalization and crutches walk training), ADL training ( selection of BADL / IADL), examination and analysis of walking, training of graphomotorics, realizes initial examination, schedules ergotherapy intervention, final examination and evaluation, performs continuous management of ergotherapy records. Learning outcomes
The course builds on the skills acquired in Professional Continuous Practice II. It is taught at specialized health care facilities, including specialized facilities. It leads students to independent work on a high-quality professional level. The aim of the course is to acquire knowledge of ergotherapy in indication areas of internal medicine and geriatrics, surgery and traumatology, combined disability, knowledge of the principles of treatment procedures in the implementation of a comprehensive ergotherapeutic program.
Expertise: Students will deepen their knowledge and practical skills acquired in professional subjects of the field of study and will learn to respect the specificities of clients, rules and principles of ethics of behavior of the occupational therapist. Professional skills: The student is able to choose a suitable method of entry and exit examination with regard to the patient's diagnosis, to plan ergotherapeutic intervention with regard to the diagnosis and the client's age. Competences: The student is able to carry out the examination of functional muscle test according to Janda, grip examination and manipulation (using standard JM tests), examination of stereognosis, stature examination - static and dynamic, re-education of postural functions (patient verticalization and walking training on crutches), ADL training (selection BADL / IADL), examination and analysis of walking, training of graphomotorics, design ergotherapeutic plan and implement it. He is capable of leading ergotherapeutic documentation and administration in occupational therapy.
