Course content
|
1 week: guided practice at faculty selected workplaces in accordance with graduate profile. Weeks 2 to 5: the student's chosen workplace in accordance with the graduate profile. In practice, the student will perform a Janda functional muscle test, grip examination and manipulation (using standard JM tests), stereognosis examination, stature examination - static and dynamic, postural function reeducation (patient verticalization and crutches walking training), ADL training ( selection of BADL / IADL), examination and analysis of walking, training of graphomotorics, realizes initial examination, schedules ergotherapy intervention, final examination and evaluation, performs continuous management of ergotherapy records.

Learning outcomes
|
The course builds on the skills acquired during Professional Practice III. It is taught at specialized health care facilities, including specialized facilities. It leads students to independent work on a high-quality professional level. The aim of the course is to acquire knowledge of ergotherapy application in the areas of rheumatology, orthopedics, neurology, psychiatry, knowledge of the principles of therapeutic procedures in the implementation of a comprehensive ergotherapy program.
Expertise: Students will deepen their knowledge and practical skills acquired in professional subjects of the field of study and will learn to respect the specificities of clients, rules and principles of ethics of behavior of the occupational therapist. Professional skills: The student is able to specify individual indication areas, lists and describes the diagnosis of individual indication areas, actively uses ergotherapeutic concepts and procedures. Competences: The student is able to apply deepened knowledge in occupational therapy practice and is able to make independent and responsible decisions based on the framework assignment.

Credit: 100% participation in Professional Continuous Practice IV. Written elaboration of kinesiological analysis according to teacher's assignment and assessment of ergotherapy program.
