Learning outcomes
The course is designed as a theoretical one, based on the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology of the nervous system. This knowledge is a prerequisite for completing the clinical course. It introduces students to basic functional neurological systems and their disorders. Providing basic knowledge of causes, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of nervous system diseases. The aim of the course is to understand whether it is a nervous system that includes specific examinations in neurology.
Expertise: The student is able to describe the basic mechanisms of neurological disorders. They can explain the nature of motor, sensitive, extrapyramidal system disorders, spinal cord syndromes, autonomic system dysfunction, intracranial hypertension syndrome, meningeal syndrome. Professional skills: The student is well versed in general neurology, is able to apply acquired knowledge to ergotherapeutic concepts, methods and procedures. Competences: The student is able to practically use acquired knowledge and skills in occupational therapy.
