Lecture Topics: 1st consultation: Latin in medical terminology, introduction to language, pronunciation, length, accent, grammatical categories Seminar Topics: 1st consultation Nouns and adjectives I. and II. declination, prepositions Verbal system Substantives IV. and V. declination Nouns and adjectives III. Declination Greek nouns Comparison of adjectives Numerals Word formation Self-study: Repetition and consolidation of the subject matter, preparation for a written test according to thematic areas and preparation for an oral interview.

Learning outcomes
The subject provides the knowledge of Latin grammar and terminology, emphasizes the acquisition of clear medical language expression. Mastering vocabulary is important for other preclinical and clinical disciplines that require the accuracy of verbal expression in describing anatomical structure and assessing both physiological and pathological conditions.
Expertise: The student demonstrates the knowledge of Latin medical terminology in his / her field in the area of pronunciation, lexical and grammar. Professional skills: The student is able to use acquired knowledge in orientation in professional medical terminology of his field. Competences: The student is able to use his professional specialization Latin medical terminology within his professional knowledge, skills and abilities.
