Seminar Topics: 1. Introduction to the social policy issues. 2. Theoretical concepts. 3. Actual social policy in the Czech Republic. 4. Actual social policy in the EU. 5. Health care system . 6. Social security policy. The Issues of people with health disability in social security system. 7. Complex health care of the citizencs in the Czech Republic. 8. Primary healthcare in the Czech Republic. 9. Health care legislation and social security. 10. The strategy of social policy in a given period (vision, reforms and others.)

Learning outcomes
Subject makes students familiar with the basic terms of social policy. It focuses on the area of health care and social security policy. The goal of this subject is to understand basic terms from the field of social care and prevention, familiarize a student with target groups of social care and organizational structure of social services and valid legislation. By means of discussion it reflects the actual issues in the mentioned areas of social policy in the Czech Republic and the EU.
Subject Knowledge: Student can explain current social policy in the Czech Republic in the area of health care and social security with the emphasis on a target group of people with health disability. Professional Skills: Student can use gained findings in practice with regard to health and social situation of the patients. He is familiar with the actual issues concerning this area.
