Course content
Exercise topics: 1. Management of occupational therapy documentation. 2. Functional tests, spinal mobility examination. 3. ICHS - possibilities of using ergotherapy. 4. Arthritis - possibilities of using ergotherapy. 5. Morbus Bechtěrev - ergotherapeutic means. 6. Rheumatoid arthritis - ergotherapeutic means. 7. Juvenile arthritis - physical symptoms, psychological consequences, functional therapy. 8. Modification of the home environment, selection of appropriate compensatory mechanisms and aids. 9.Adaptation of the workplace due to the diagnosis.

Learning outcomes
The subject is a basic subject of the field. It is conceived as a practical one, it builds on the introductory chapters of ergotherapy education and lectures on Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. Students will gain knowledge about the use of ergotherapy in this field and the possibilities of activities purposefully chosen with regard to physical and mental aspects. Emphasis is placed on optimizing functions and achieving both home and work independence. Students will also get acquainted with the possibilities of ergotherapy in the prevention of some civilization diseases.
Expertise: The student is able to name suitable occupational therapy procedures in the field of internal medicine and rheumatology. Professional skills: The student is able to apply appropriate ergotherapeutic methods based on the examination of the patient. Competences: The student is able to use practically targeted ergotherapeutic methods according to the client's diagnosis.
