Course content
1. Basic definition of the research objective (time and location boundaries) based on the keywords of the bachelor thesis 2. Presentation of the thesis objective and consultation on key topics in the introduction 3. Rules for deriving sub-questions for an academic text 4. Presentation of research questions and consultation on the process of writing the introduction 5. Rules for constructing a research sample and selecting a method to achieve the bachelor thesis objective 6. Presentation of initial data and progress in the academic text 7. Data analysis and selection of appendices for the bachelor thesis 8. Presentation of analysis results, consultation on writing the results section 9. Rules for writing the discussion section 10. Formal guidelines for appendices and their sourcing 11.-12. Presentation of the main findings of the bachelor thesis, annotation updates, and preparation of the thesis results presentation for the defense

Learning outcomes
The main objective of the course is the timely submission of a coherent, well-structured, and professional text, meeting all formal and content-related requirements, prepared in accordance with the guidelines for writing theses at the Faculty of Art and Design, J. E. Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. Students will be introduced to the basics of structuring and writing academic texts (IMRaD format), as well as working with sources and other information materials. The primary focus will be on the following thought structure: the aim of the thesis, hypotheses and theses or research questions, and a methodologically justified approach.
The acquired competencies represent the mastery and application of knowledge in the given field, based on the specific course description and aimed at fulfilling the graduate profile.
