Course content
|
1. Orientation for newcomers in a team and production work - schedules and tasks, recognizing abilities and skills, setting responsibilities, gradual adaptability, and the need for enhanced communication in the early stages of joining a team 2. Diverse personalities of cultural workers and finding a common language in production work, the specificity of missing initial deadlines, the need for sharing task progress, and verifying phases in relation to the overall project 3. Proposed work procedures and their updates based on ongoing evaluation processes - case studies illustrating decision-making and problem-solving during or after the implementation of an event or a defined organizational activity 4. Empathetic management and team development, team motivation 5. Agile management as an approach to managing projects and teams - the three reactive potentials: adaptability, flexibility, and speed 6.-7. Verifying production work phases and evaluation processes, not only for addressing the project's or event's status quo but also for using self-evaluation processes. Recognizing the current potential for sharing task fulfillment or delegation and fostering collaboration to accelerate production work - types of questions such as: what to continue, what to stop, what to do differently and anew 8. Stressful situations in production work and their effective handling and resolution - from risk management and task evaluation to requesting project changes and resource updates 9. Training to address stressful situations through activities in a fictional project or a selected scenario (guest involvement) 10. Between intuition and heuristics - general situation assessments based on experience, prone to inaccuracies; Pre-mortem analysis 11.-12. Assertiveness techniques for production negotiations and managing cultural and creative projects, practical training

Learning outcomes
|
The course develops production work processes and team management skills, building on practical experience gained during professional internships. It enhances specific middle management skills, ranging from activity management and teamwork to risk assessment and the development of competencies for risk management. Students will acquire skills for conducting effective retrospectives to improve and refine teamwork and learn to incorporate empathetic approaches when solving various problems. They will learn to use self-evaluation processes to monitor and verify the progress of production work. The course also introduces techniques for managing chaos and stress in project management of production activities within the cultural and creative industries (CCI).
The acquired competencies represent the mastery and application of knowledge in the given field, based on the specific course description and aimed at fulfilling the graduate profile.
