The course provides an introduction to the world of new media and their impact on culture and art. Students will explore various technologies that contemporary artists use to create their works. The course covers areas such as video art, sound art, net art, interactive art, bio art, and more. Students will be introduced to key works by pioneering artists who engage in innovative and experimental approaches through new media. The course examines the development of new media throughout the 20th century as well as the latest technologies that have emerged in recent years.
