The development of the architecture of exhibition spaces in the 19th century, the way of exhibiting. Selected examples. 3. Development and changes in the Art Nouveau period at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. 4. The situation between the two world wars. A paradigm shift. 5. Functionalism as a general term for changes in architecture. 6. Historical context of changes after World War II. 7. International style. Minimalism. 8. The influence of important private collectors on the architecture of exhibition spaces (eg Guggenheim). 9. Postmodernism and its influence on the transformation of the concept of the exhibition. 10. Architecture of museums and galleries since the 1990s. 11. Gallery or museum conversion projects. 12. Excursion.
