The aim of the course is to acquaint students through practical exercises accompanied by a theoretical explanation of analog photography and the possibilities of its use. After completing the course, the student should be able to independently master the basic technological procedures in working with the gelatin process so that he is able to use the acquired knowledge and experience in his creative artistic practice. Teaching takes the form of practical exercises in dark rooms, during which students try the basic technological procedures of the gelatin process, from exposing the image to analog media, through the manipulation of film and photographic plate, to the processing of analog positive.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
