Course content
1. Gallery space - changes during the 20th century, handling of space and exposition, examples of types of exposition. 2. Types of gallery spaces - white cube, black box, museum. 3. Out of the gallery - public space as a place for artistic expression, the relationship between public space and urbanism. 4. New genre Public Art. 5. Critical curation. 6. Institutional criticism. 7. Strategies and tendencies - changes on the axis artist-curator-exhibition-institution. 8. Installation policy - installation as a medium; a tool for erasing the boundaries between the artist and the curator. 9. Art shows - biennial art, postcolonialism, nomadism, post-internet. 10. Closer to matter - Interpretation of a work of art and analysis of a work of art, their possibilities and limitations. 11. Final colloquium.

Learning outcomes
The course is focused on the analysis of the situation in the current (alternative) gallery and museum operations. It focuses on various approaches and possibilities of art presentation, on their intentions, concepts, contexts, motivation and operational production background, including the possibilities and meaning of financing. It also focuses on the influence of these institutions on society, the community, the cultural scene and contemporary art.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
